Creative Mending Resource Fair
Kick off Fashion Revolution Week at Crafted Fair Trade in Downtown Overland Park Third Friday, April 18th 5-7pm! Our friends from Magpie Creative Reuse Collective, ScrapsKC and Stitching Change will be tabling with resources for your visable, creative mending projects. Get ready for Mend in Public Day on April 26th, 2025 (yep it's a day!) and help bring awareness to the importance of making our clothing and textiles last longer!
P.S. April 18th is also the second planned Economic Blackout. In solidarity, Crafted Fair Trade will be open, we will be crafting and we will be hosting our friends for a Creative Mending Resource Fair but if you choose to shop please bring cash or check. We will NOT be accepting credit and debit cards as payment.

Vintage Village Clothing & Accessory Swap
Help us raise awareness of #fashionrevolution2025 and be a part of positive solutions to the overwhelming problems in the global fast-fashion supply chain by joining us in our first ever fair trade clothing and accessory swap at Crafted Fair Trade!
Here’s how it will work… Bring to Crafted Fair Trade your gently used, fair trade clothing and personal accessory items* that you no longer want/need starting today through Tuesday, April 22nd during our regular business hours. We will keep track of how many swappable items we collect from you so that when you return on Thursday, April 24th 5-7pm, you can take the same quantity of gently used, fair trade clothing and personal accessory items* that you want/need for free from all the collected items!
*fair trade clothing and personal accessory items include: clothing, jewelry, scarves and handbags purchased at Crafted Fair Trade (formerly Ten Thousand Villages Overland Park thus the “Vintage Village”) over the years. Or, these fair trade clothing and personal accessory brands: Abrazo Style, Aid Through Trade, BelArt, Dunitz&Co, dZi, Fair Anita, Ganesh Himal, Global Mamas, GOEX, JOYN, Liz Alig, Lucia’s Imports, Maggie’s Organics, Malia Designs, Marketplace India, Mata Traders, Minga Fair Trade, Nica Life, PACT, Passion Lilie, Rover & Kin, SERRV, Sevya, Starfish Project, Stitching Change, Ten Thousand Villages, Tula Hats, Tulia’s Artisan Gallery & WorldFinds.
We know you may not remember exactly where that item you no longer want/need came from but , don’t worry, our volunteers and staff have been around awhile, and we reserve the right to kindly refuse your suggested swap items. All un-swapped items on the 24th will be donated.
