Villages Raffia & Banana Leaf Hamper Basket

This basket is the perfect addition to your home for storing cozy throws and pillows. Thoughtfully woven in a rich color palette of greens, blues and yellows, the design celebrates global community. Handcrafted by women artisans from the Batoro tribe living in the very rural mountains of Western Uganda. These weavers are a part of a cooperative that provides training to single mothers, widows and other marginalized women who are subsistence farmers and weave baskets to provide additional income.

• Crafted from raffia, banana fiber and locally sourced, AZO free natural dyes
• Women artisans grow, harvest and make all the natural dyes which takes a great deal of knowledge and skill to produce
