Chambira Palm Iguana

Each ornament is made from chambira palm fiber by talented artisans working with Amazon Ecology in the village of Puerto Miguel on the Maranon River in Peru. Amazon Ecology promotes the well-being of the Amazon ecosystem by supporting its people to create sustainable livelihoods, vibrant cultures, healthy and empowered communities, and resilient forests. The organization works with over 200 artisans from 16 communities in the northern Peruvian Amazon.
