Rainbow Elephant Grass Rattle

A favorite instrument of both the young and young at heart, this elephant grass rattle is filled with beans and produces a unique, earthy sound. Artisans in the Bolgatanga region of Ghana handcraft these colorful African percussion instruments from stiff elephant grass, dyed in bright fun colors. A calabash gourd base keeps the rattling beans inside.
