Jammies Zebra Ornament

This zebra is ready for Christmas morning! Kenyan wood carvers hand-carve this playful ornament in jacaranda wood, portraying a zebra wearing his red and white striped Christmas pajamas with contrasting green trim. Created by artisans working with the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, a group of woodcarvers of all ages who work in an open-air workshop in Nairobi. This environmentally-responsible group takes care in procuring different types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
