Gourd Ocean Drum

This fire-burned gourd drum with goat skin is filled with stone so you can turn it over and hear the sound of the waves washing up on the shore. Etched and burned in a traditional manner by skilled artisans in Peru. Colors of brown and black bring the undersea design to animated life. Our partner Jamtown has been practicing fair trade relationships with artisans and co-operatives around the world since 1995.
