Convertible Capiz Earrings

These Convertible Capiz Earrings feature three capiz discs in ocean-inspired blues and greens, each rimmed in a shimmering silver tone. Create three different looks by wearing the smallest disc alone as a pair of studs, or add the medium and/or large discs, which both come with small rings attached, for a gorgeous layered effect. Crafting capiz shell is a labor-intensive process. First artisans wash and soak shells and after the shells have dried, they are cut into shapes and edged with metal wire. A finishing coat of varnish completes this process. Made by SAFFY’s Filipino artisan communities, these earrings support youth education and vocational growth rooted in capiz-shell tradition.
