Kenyan artisans craft beautiful decorative plates from Kisii soapstone, then add a hand-dyed finish with a simple message: "love is love". Soapstone is a soft stone, making it easy to carve into many forms. Each piece has gone through multiple stages of sanding and waxing, giving the soapstone a satiny finish.
