Step into fair trade fun in the kitchen with this reversible patchwork kids’ apron! Bursting with imagination, adorned with delightful designs, and with a flour-sack back, it’s the perfect accessory to turn little chefs into eco-friendly culinary superheroes! Each apron is batiked and sewn by artisans working with Global Mamas in Ghana. Batik is an ancient fabric art in which a hot wax resist is painted or stamped onto fabric then dyed. It has been practiced in Ghana for generations, typically by women. The Global Mamas community in Cape Coast is made up of nearly 100 independent, fair trade, women-owned businesses.
