Capiz Lotus Ornament

Made from delicate white capiz shell, this ethereal lotus bloom is a symbol of purity and renewal. Crafting capiz shell is a labor-intensive process. First artisans wash and soak shells and after the shells have dried, they are cut into shapes and edged with metal wire. A finishing coat of varnish completes this process.
